… the author

I started working as C developer in 2003 at my current employer, a regional wireless ISP in Germany. Over time my responsibilities changed towards system administration and network operations, but I still take any chance to get back into programming in the job, as well as in my spare time.

I believe in the principles of open source, do use it where possible and try to give something back by contributing to the community. I’ve been active member of the MadWifi project and continue to contribute to trac-hacks.org, to name two examples.

Around 2006, when at MadWifi we decided to move away from Sourceforge in favour of a self-hosted project management environment, I had my first contact with Trac - and with Python. I almost immediately fell in love and decided to learn how to use it. Today Python is my favorite language for personal and business use. I now strive for broadening my current expertise towards what they call a “full-stack developer”.

In this blog I’ll write about the code I’m working on, as well as general ideas and thoughts I might have regarding Python. At least that’s the idea at this point, we’ll see where it ends up ;-)
